Welcome to the Rocking JC Cowboy Church 

JC Cowboy Church is a lively, Bible-believing Christian church that intentionally embraces cowboy and Western culture to share the love of Jesus Christ with rodeo athletes, ranchers, rural families, and anyone who loves the Western lifestyle. Located in Warrensburg, Missouri, we are not a separate denomination but a relational, come-as-you-are ministry that removes cultural barriers so people can encounter Jesus with authenticity.


JC Cowboy Church began in 2015 at the Johnson County Fairgrounds. Pastor Kevin Mannering and other leaders watched God put the pieces together to create a place where traveling rodeo riders, cowboys, and their families could attend meaningful church services while passing through town during rodeo season. What started as services at the fairgrounds has grown into a dedicated ministry with its own arena, allowing us to minister directly to the rodeo community year-round.

At JC Cowboy Church, our mission is simple: to reach people with the Gospel right where they are—many times where they ride, rope, and barrel race. We provide a welcoming place for spiritual growth, fellowship, and fun, all while pointing people to Jesus. We are an Acts 2:42 church, prioritizing fellowship, teaching, breaking of bread, and prayer.

If you’re in the Warrensburg area or passing through with the rodeo, you’ll find a warm welcome and a place to belong. Come as you are—boots and all!

What is a Cowboy Church?
 

  • Western Atmosphere: We gather in a setting that reflects cowboy life—complete with our own arena for rodeo events, roping, and family-friendly activities. Jeans, boots, and cowboy hats are not only welcome—they’re the standard.
     

  • Casual & Relational Worship: Don’t be surprised to hear country gospel or Western-style music, straightforward Bible teaching, and a warm, low-pressure environment. No suits or formality required.
     

  • Rodeo & Ranch Outreach: Our arena serves as a hub for safe, wholesome, family-friendly events that bring rodeo enthusiasts together while keeping Christ at the center of everything we do.
     

  • Practical Faith: We blend core evangelical beliefs with the values of hard work, independence, and community that define cowboy culture. We are not a church for Sunday-Christians; we are an Acts 2:42 church who pride ourselves on living out our faith in real meaningful ways every day and in every situation.
